
Zia Therapy Center was
founded in 1960 by nine mothers of children with disabilities as a
way to provide services to their children. The center is a nonprofit
organization providing a variety of services in Southern New Mexico.
Zia has grown and expanded since 1960 and now serve over 1000
individuals and families each year in a wide variety of programs
including Early Childhood, Adult Programs, Teen Programs and Child
Care. Zia Therapy Center is a United Way agency whose property and
affairs are managed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our staff is
comprised of knowledgeable and caring professionals interested in
the health and well being of the child and family. Zia Therapy
Center is accredited by the Council on
Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities ( CARF ).
Zia is also an active member of ADDCP-Association of
Developmental Disabilities Community Providers, a state-wide
organization of community based providers that delivers an array of
quality services to children and adults with developmental
disabilities and children with, or at risk of, developmental
delays.
