Zia Therapy Center was founded in 1960 by nine mothers of children with disabilities as a way to provide services to their children. The center is a nonprofit organization providing a variety of services in Southern New Mexico. Zia has grown and expanded since 1960 and now serve over 1000 individuals and families each year in a wide variety of programs including Early Childhood, Adult Programs, Teen Programs and Child Care. Zia Therapy Center is a United Way agency whose property and affairs are managed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our staff is comprised of knowledgeable and caring professionals interested in the health and well being of the child and family. Zia Therapy Center is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities ( CARF ).  Zia is also an active member of ADDCP-Association of Developmental Disabilities Community Providers, a state-wide organization of community based providers that delivers an array of quality services to children and adults with developmental disabilities and children with, or at risk of, developmental delays.
