Early Childhood Intervention

 

The following services are available through the Early Childhood Program:

  • Free Screenings for Developmental Progress (birth through 3 years of age),
  • Home and community-based services
  • Designed to enhance your child's development through play and other activities
  • Onsite Playgroups
  • Speech Evaluations and Therapy
  • Physical Evaluations and Therapy
  • Occupational Evaluations and Therapy
  • Warm Water Pool Therapy
  • Nutrition Services
All services are based on the needs of the child and family as determined by a team specializing in early childhood. Service coordination is available to help families access early childhood services and to help families transition from Zia Therapy Center to other programs.
  • Early Intervention Services are a wide variety of activities Zia does with a child to enhance their development and enable the family to work with their child. These activities are provided in a variety of settings, including the child's home, Zia Therapy Center and out in the community. Activities may include games, field trips, circle time activities, playground activities.


Funding sources include Department of Health and Medicaid.
